Description

Award-winning exhibition onion, perfected over a number of years by breeder, Ken Bunton. Specially bred for good shape, a larger base and impeccable skin quality, with the bonus of a flavour that is mild, flavoursome and perfect for the kitchen. Reliable cropper.

Sowing Instructions

Sowing time:December to March.

Will grow in any fertile, well-drained soil. For exhibition sized bulbs sow seed 1cm (½ inch) deep in pots of compost and place at minimum 20C (68F). For smaller bulbs, seed can be sown outdoors in March.

Growing Instructions

Prick out seedlings when large enough to handle and pot up into 7.5cm (3 inch) pots. Grow steadily and transplant to a well prepared onion bed from late April.

Aftercare Instructions

Keep well fed and watered throughout the growing season.
