A highly original bedding plant, the Linaria is low-growing and has attractive grey-green foliage. This is flanked, through the summer months, by a myriad of flowers in a wealth of bright and striking shades.
| Sowing time: | Indoors 6-8 weeks before last frost; outdoors 2-3 weeks before last frost zones 2-7, early fall zones 8-10 |

Germinate at 20-30C (68-86F) on the surface of a good free draining, damp seed sowing mix. Apply a fine sprinkling of sowing mix. Place in a propagator or seal container inside a plastic bag until after germination, which usually takes 5-21 days. Do not exclude light at any stage, as this helps germination.
Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle into 7.5cm (3in) pots. Grow on in cooler conditions before planting out after all risk of frost, 20-25cm (8-10in) apart. Can also be sown outdoors in September to flower the following summer.
Poisonous Caution: Toxic if eaten
