An Ageratum with a difference! Giant, robust plants, covered in masses of fluffy, clear blue flowers all summer, stand above the contrasting deep green foliage. Ideal for adding height to bedding schemes, as well as making an unusual cut flower.
| Sowing time: | February to March. |
|---|
Sow in trays, pots, etc of good seed compost in a propagator or warm place to maintain an optimum temperature of 70-75F (20-25C). Surface sow and just cover with vermiculite. Do not exclude light. Germination usually takes 7-21 days.
Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle. Harden off and plant out when all risk of frost has passed 30cm (12in) apart, in full sun.
Prefers a moist, well drained soil.
