Description

A lovely way to bring the delightful fragrance of sweet peas closer to home, grown in baskets or containers. Attractive pink and white bicolored blooms on naturally neat and compact plants, create a wonderful display in early summer. Specially created for baskets, containers and as ground cover.

Sowing Instructions

Sowing time:Sow indoors 6-8 weeks before last frost; outdoors sow early to midspring zones 3-7, fall zones 8-10.

Germinate at 18-20C (64-68F) on the surface of a free draining, damp seed sowing mix, 3 seeds per 7.5cm (3in) pot. Apply a layer of sowing mix 1cm (½in) deep. Place in a propagator or seal container in a plastic bag until after germination which takes 10-21 days.

Spring sowings can be sown outdoors, 2.5cm (1 in) deep in drills 7.5cm (3in) apart.

Growing Instructions

Gradually acclimate plants sown indoors to cooler conditions before planting out in spring when the ground has warmed, 15cm (6 inches) apart or into baskets and containers.

Aftercare Instructions

Keep planted baskets and containers moist at all times and regularly remove spent flowers to encourage further blooms.
