A purple cauliflower! Good sized heads up to 6in in diameter, mature early from sowing (approx. 70 days). When cooked, curds turn green and are delicious - especially with cheese sauce! Heads are upright and have good holding.

Sow under glass or in spring out of doors. Sow in good seed sowing mix. Germination usually takes 4-10 days at 20-25°C (70-75°F). Outdoor sowings should be made in a well-prepared seed bed in drills 12mm (½in) deep, spaced 30cm (12in) apart and the seedlings transplanted to their final quarters when they have 2-3 leaves.
Transplant when large enough to handle to 7.5cm (3in) pots or boxes and grow cool and well lit. Gradually acclimatize to outdoor conditions for 10-15 days before planting out 60x60cm (24x24in) apart in a rich, well-cultivated, moisture retentive soil. Always plant firmly and keep the plants well watered, especially in dry weather after all risk of frost, 15cm (6in) apart in full sun and ordinary well-drained soil. Harvest late summer/autumn.
To avoid the danger of Clubroot, grow your Brassicas in a different site each year so that they only occupy the same spot once every four years.
