Soft-to-the-touch flower spikes of dusky pink which bees love and can be used as cut flowers. The mid green leaves are unusual and almost resemble peanut foliage.

Sow in trays, pots, etc of good seed sowing mix, just covering the seed with sowing mix in a propagator or warm place to maintain an optimum temperature of 20C (75F). Seal the container inside a plastic bag after sowing. Germination usually takes 14-30 days.
Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle into 7.5cm (3in) pots. Harden off and plant out when all risk of frost has passed. Space the plants 45cm (18in) apart.
Plant in full sun. Prefers a well drained soil.
