Early flowering, compact plants, smothered in a mouthwatering colour combination of royal crimson flowers, each with an unusual deep crimson eye. Outstanding in borders or containers. Height 15-20cm (6-8 inches).
| Sowing time: | February to April. |

Sow on the surface of lightly firmed, moist seed compost in pots or trays and cover with a fine sprinkling of compost or vermiculite. Keep at a temperature of between 18-20ºC (64-68ºF). After sowing, do not exclude light as this helps germination. Keep the surface of the compost moist but not waterlogged; germination usually takes 14-30 days. When large enough to handle, transplant seedlings into 7.5cm (3in) pots or trays.
Gradually acclimatise plants to cooler conditions for a few weeks before planting out after all risk of frost, 30cm (12in) apart.
For best results, provide any ordinary, well-drained soil in full sun.
