We believe Canoe produces the most seeds in a pod. We have spotted many 11 and 12 seeded pods in the seed crop, but can you find lucky 13? This aptly named variety has long, slightly curved pointed pods similar to a Canoe. Producing a heavy crop of pods, on semi-leafless, almost self supporting plants when grown in a block. Ideal for freezing and sure to be an exhibition variety of the future.

Sow in flat bottomed drills 5cm (2in) deep, 15cm (6in) wide spacing the seeds roughly 5cm (2in) apart. Allow 90cm (36in) between rows.
When plants are 10cm (4in), tall provide twiggy sticks for support. Height 75cm (30in).
The peas will be ready to harvest around 70 days from sowing date, and regular picking will encourage further cropping. Plants are self supporting when sown in blocks. Prefers well drained, moist, rich conditions.
