Big, double, fluffy teddy bear of a flower, 4in or more across. A real eye-catcher in the border, looks good in containers and is a must for its long lasting, impressive appearance in a vase. Height 24in.

Sowing Instructions

Sowing time:early spring to early summer.
Sowing depth:12mm (½in) deep in rows 45cm (18in) apart.

Sow outdoors where they are to flower. Prepare the ground well and rake to a fine tilth before sowing.

Growing Instructions

They prefer a sunny open site but will grow in most sites and soils.

Kitchen Notes

The green buds before the flower opens are delicious cooked in butter sauce and the seeds make a tasty snack.
