Description

A mat of feathery foliage producing strong stalks with wide flat heads varying in color from shell pink to deep cherry red. Good for flower arrangements. Flowers summer. Height 2 ft.

Sowing Instructions

Sow on the surface of the compost from late winter to spring in John Innes Seed Compost. Make sure that the compost is moist but not wet and seal in a polythene bag until after germination which usually takes 7-21 days at 20-24C (68-75F). Do not exclude light which is beneficial to germination. Transplant when large enough to handle into 8cm (3in) pots. Later plant out 60cm (24in) apart into any well drained soil in full sun.
