Description

Sowing Instructions

Sowing time:After last frost so that pods will mature in the cooler weather of late summer to early fall

Sow indoors in short season areas only in 7.5cm (3in) pots at 18-20C (64-68F), 4cm (11/2in) deep. Place in a propagator or seal container inside a plastic bag until after germination which takes 7-10 days. All other areas should sow outdoors after last frost 6in (15cm) apart, 2in (5cm) deep and in rows 18in 945cm) apart.

Growing Instructions

If sown indoors, radually acclimatize to outdoor conditions for 7-10 days before planting out after all risk of frost, against support such as canes or netting. Hoe regularly and keep plants well watered. Mulch during dry periods. Can also be sown direct outdoors once the soil has warmed, 15cm (6 inches) apart, 5cm (2 inches) deep and in rows 45cm (18 inches) apart. Do not be tempted to sow too early.

Aftercare Instructions

Prefers well drained, moist, rich soil.
