Start germinating seeds indoors 6-8 weeks before the last expected frost for your area and transplant out after all danger of frost is past. Type indicated in parentheses. Cordon (Indeterminate) Varieties: Require supporting and side shooting. Cordons are usually grown outdoors and stopped after 5-6 trusses. Indeterminate growing makes more trusses when grown under glass. Semi-Determinate Varieties: Vigorous bush which may require some trimming. Bush Varieties: Predominantly self stopping and no side shooting required.
