IDEAL FOR: children

SOWING TIME: Sow indoors 6-8 weeks before last spring frost for transplanting outdoors after all risk of frost is past

SOWING: Sow in pots of moist seed sowing mix and cover with a sprinkling of sowing mix or vermiculite. Place in a propagator or warm place, and keep at a constant temperature of between 24-27C (75-80F). After sowing, do not exclude light as this helps germination. Keep the surface of the mix moist but not waterlogged; germination will usually take 7-10 days.

AFTERCARE: Remove main growing tip after 6 trusses to hasten ripening.Requires support and regular sideshooting.
